Kerrytown Bookfest = fun! (Also comic news)

September 9th, 2007 by Kay Fedewa

Hey there!

Just got back from the bookfest. Wow that was fun. Got to meet alot of great artists and writers there too. Gotta check out their sites now :)

The BBA  comic/graphic novel is 98% done. We are making a new cover, doing final edits and tweaks, and we have 26 pages done, but it looks like erin and I are going to add 1 more bonus page toward the beginning to flesh out the story a bit more. That will also mean you get to see some exclusive material when you get the book. I made a printed proof of what we have so far and boy does it look good on paper. We may get it perfect bound instead of saddle sitched and have a nice thick plastic-coated cover! I saw a sample of that done by the printer we’re using and it looks really spiffy. WANT!

Well in short, we’re ensuring this book is going to be completely polished before we send it to print so it will be some more time before it becomes availible (another month probably). It will be purchasable online so that you can get it no matter where you’re living. It will ship anywhere :)

Thanks for your patience, support and kind words. I can’t wait to be finished so you can see the final product!! :)

PG 24 Posted

August 14th, 2007 by Kay Fedewa

Page 24 has been added to the Comic section.

It is page 24 of 26, but will be the last page posted on the internet until after the comic is published. So, I will be finishing 25 and 26 and the book will go on sale… and THEN a few weeks later, I will post the pages for everyone to view. This is to encourage people who love the story to financially support its continuation by purchasing the paper copy. Thank you! :)

Swiftkill Prototype with paint

I sent her back to have the bottoms of her paws painted. So it will be yet another week at least before they will go on sale. Haha sorry I’m a perfectionist :P

Will post more details when I know them.

Final prototype Swiftkill figurine nearly done.

July 28th, 2007 by Fable

The prototype photos for the collection figurine should be arriving to me any day now… I will be posting them here as soon as they come and then subsequently announcing the price and taking preorders. The production process shouldn’t have taken so long but I had to keep making them revise the anatomy on Swiftkill - for the price of these buggers I want them PERFECT! :)

So be checking back for updates often..!!

Kay Fedewa speaking at Kerrytown Bookfest

July 28th, 2007 by Fable

For the Kerrytown Bookfest I will be on a panel in Ann Arbor, MI on Sept. 9, speaking about the Future of Comics. Anyone who’s going to be in the area is welcome to come, though I will most likely be letting the more experienced guys on the panel do most of the talking ;)

Finishing the Blackblood Novel

July 26th, 2007 by Kay Fedewa

Alright, we’re finalizing the pages before we go to print. Fox Knight Publishing is who we’re going through and the book is going to be 32 pages, 26 of them comic material. We’re estimating it will be around 6 or 7$ USD for you to buy. You can order it online and it will ship anywhere! I understand some parents dont have paypal or feel comfortable using a credit/debit card online so I am going to try and take phone orders too.

It will be in very select comic stores in the U.S. starting in Michigan and NY. I will be posting the names of the stores who are on board when that is finalized.

Kay and Erin at Athrocon, and more comic updates!

July 16th, 2007 by Kay Fedewa

Ok guys, well Anthrocon was alot of work, but also alot of fun. Thanks alot to everyone that came out to say hi to us. It was really great to meet some readers! I hope we can meet again at future events. The next con Erin and I will be attending will be Midwest Furfest in November.

We are very close to completion….! 3 more full pages and some final tweakage to previous pages (making all the bubbles translucent) and we will be done for this issue.

The Swiftkill collectible figure is being painted. I will have upload photos with my next post and begin taking preorders!

Thanks for all the support, everyone :)

Page 22 of the Blackblood Alliance comic is up

June 14th, 2007 by Kay Fedewa

Hi, E. Siegel and I have been working really hard over the last couple weeks. We’ve done all the script-writing, and thumbnail layouts for the final pages.

There will be 26 pages in The BBA Issue #1. That means we have…4 more to go!!!

Well its not that simple :P We still have to get the redo of 9 up (Its drawn and has a BG i just need to color it) and then we have ALOT of editting to do on pgs 10-12. She will be heavily tweaking the BGs while i redraw the characters. So..bordering on Redos.

I want to thank EVERYONE for the support and kind words throughout the duration of this project. I owe alot to the people who follow our work, leave us feedback and encouragement, and await patiently for our next upload. Come to Anthrocon, so we can thank you in person!! We love you guys!! <3
